Tutors Wanted

The new Library has been completed and is now in use. The broadband for seniors computer kiosk located within the Library is also setup and ready to go. The main aim is to give seniors free access to computers and the internet. Participants will be given instruction on how to send and receive emails as well how to surf the internet. We are now looking for volunteer tutors to provide guidance and information to those wishing to learn. If you have a basic knowledge of computing and can spare a couple of hours a week, please contact the office staff. Support training for tutors is available if required.

Open Day

We had a better than expected response to our ‘Open Day’ held on Wednesday 28^th October 2009. New members joined on the day and several others have taken application forms to join later. Thanks to all the activity groups who provided demonstrations on the day. Thanks also to the volunteers who made scones etc and served the Devonshire teas throughout the day. We received good positive feedback from the visitors who attended.
