Chairpersons Report                            We are moving into the month of March already.

February saw us having another very successful Cabaret. Numbers were down, the Leeuwin Concert was held the same night and Harcourts had booked a table for 20, but unfortunately they had a prior commitment with a Seminar in Cairns.  People were still in holiday mood and what we lacked in numbers we made up for with enthusiasm and everyone enjoyed themselves.

We raised approximately $1,000.00, so it was another very successful project.

The Gas fryer in the kitchen has finally been installed and this should make work a lot easier for Nicole and Sherrie.  No more waiting for cooked chips. (we hope!)  We have also finally received approval to construct the new patio at the rear of the new Library, where Rhonda Bartlett has designed our beautiful mural. This area will allow members more parking area for gophers outside the library.

A new store room is in the pipeline, and awaiting approval which will mean that we can lock up our valuable equipment and keep it safe during times when the halls are hired for outside events.

We have three new Dance Troupes hiring our facilities now, which will bring approximately $20,00.00 per year to our Centre—how fantastic—a big thankyou to all our groups for making this possible as there was a little juggling of times involved.

More good news is that we currently have 70 new members this financial year.

Coming Event — We have a couple of events coming up in March, on the 5th we have the FREE seminar @1.00pm on Cruise Travel for Seniors. Then the Forum -11th March @ 10.00am.  We have two guest speakers, Chris Sheedy, who will speak about Motor Vehicle Insurance Claims and Tony Ball, who will talk about the National Seniors organisation.

We desperately need volunteers, especially in the kitchen and dining room.  If you can spare an odd hour or two here and there it would be gratefully appreciated.

Thankyou for your help & support through out  February -  Pat Reid.
