Text Box: Chairpersons Report
The month of January has gone and I hope that everyone is settling into a happy routine again. As you will be aware we have had a problem in January with certain members, but hopefully now that this has all been addressed we can move forward and have the happy centre we are used to.
The Forum starts again on the 11th February with the guest speaker being Wendy Andrews from the Dept. Of Transport.
Don’t forget the Cabaret on 13th February—this time with a Valentine theme.
The dining room is going well, so please call in, bring your friends and enjoy a meal or a sandwich. Without a doubt this would be the cheapest lunch in town and one of the best! We desperately need more volunteers so if you can spare an hour or two any day is would be greatly appreciated.
Don’t forget the Naturaliste Travel day on 5th March starting at 1pm (free tickets from office). This should be a very interesting and outstanding presentation on cruises to various destinations. Naturaliste Travel are one of our sponsors and they gave an excellent talk on the Ghan last year. Pat Reid.

CONGRATULATIIONS TO WALLY CUTHBERT on becoming a “Life Member” in recognition for his long and valuable contribution to the Centre. There was some confusion at the recent AGM when Wally received his life membership—many thought Jan and Trevor Anderson also received a life membership but their award was presented to them by the Department for Communities in recognition of their valuable service as volunteers not only at our Centre but throughout the community.  CONGRATULATIONS JAN AND  TREVOR!!  We are very proud of you both.

Text Box: The Members of the Board of Management wish to sincerely thank Rhonda Bartlett, Fran Davey and their many helpers for the hours of effort they put in to preparing and running the excellent Art Exhibition held during January. Members of the Centre were very proud to have such a high quality exhibition at the Centre and everyone is looking forward to it becoming an annual event. Congratulations and well done to all exhibitors and those who contributed to such a successful event!
