CHAIRPERSONS REPORT: We have had some cold wet weather, everyone is aware that winter is here with a vengeance. All we can do is keep rugged up and stay warm. We had Christmas in July on Wednesday 21st with approximately 110 people attending and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. Santa was in attendance and gave chocolate to everyone. Thank you Santa!!!! Apart from Indoor Bowls members and Strelley Grange the attendance from other groups was a little disappointing, Due to this we are looking at some changes for our next function. There was a raffle that was drawn on the day, 1st - A beautiful Christmas Cake won by Chris Duke, 2nd - Two cake tins won by Pat Reid and 3rd - Face cloths and soap won by Elaine Treen. There was entertainment throughout the day by the Senior Variety Band and a special recital by Pat Sharp. Harry Weston (Trumpet) & Vera Regan (Piano) entertained with 2 songs. Thankyou to all the band members and a big thankyou to all the volunteers in the Kitchen who once again made it all possible. It has been suggested that we change our forums to a afternoon time slot—Please convey your thoughts on this to the office staff.
